Happy Birthday Liza Minnelli

Liza Minnelli has always been one of my favorite entertainers, who was also briefly married to another favorite performer of mine, Peter Allen.  Today, March 12th is Ms. Minnelli's 66th birthday.
Liza is not only an amazing entertainer with a style all her own but someone who truly knows who she is when it comes to her "look" -- always unique, always pushing the envelope!  Liza was long time friends with the iconic designer Halston who had a big influence on her look.

One of my all time favorite performers is Peter Allen who sadly is no longer with us.  Peter Allen was a true showman who had a desire to perform with one of the most iconic group of dancers known, the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes.  I had the pleasure of seeing this show -- showman meets tradition.  Here is a brief part of the performance.
To all visitors to New York, if you can, try to take in a Radio City Rockette show -- you won't be disappointed!!

How many times in one's life do we get to meet someone whose talent we admire from afar?  I fell in love with a song called "Concrete & Clay" back in the '60's.  Who knew years later I would become friends with the very talented man who sang that song!  Ed Rambeau, known as Eddie Rambeau back then not only has written songs for himself, but for others over the years.  He is a talented artist, photographer and author as well and has mastered putting together beautiful videos to watch as you listen to his music.  Here is a favorite song of mine, originally sung by Peter Allen.  I love Ed's version, hope you do too.

Living in New York has some perks, one of which is Broadway.  One of my favorite Broadway shows was The Boy From OZ which starred Hugh Jackman as singer/songwriter Peter Allen.  My girls and I had the pleasure of getting to go backstage after a performance and meeting Mr. Jackman, a memory we will never forget.  Here's one of the songs from The Boy From OZ, hope you love it as much as we do.
